DAY OF THE DEAD - STREET PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP / Oct. 27 - Nov. 3
INFO BELOW
A transformative experience of light, life, and death in the heart of Pátzcuaro, Mexico.
Join Max Sturgeon and Oscar Bolaños for an immersive street photography workshop during one of Mexico’s most captivating traditions: Día de Muertos in Pátzcuaro.
We’ll spend each day chasing moments—from vibrant markets to candlelit cemeteries. You’ll shoot daily, receive group and one-on-one critiques, and build a cohesive body of work. We’ll push you to go beyond snapshots and into storytelling. Expect to improve fast, laugh often, and return home with both photos and memories you’ll never forget.
Why Pátzcuaro?
Unlike the parades of Mexico City or the crowds in Oaxaca, Pátzcuaro holds one of Mexico’s most profound and poetic Día de Muertos celebrations. Families spend the night in candlelit cemeteries, music floats through the streets, and an atmosphere of deep reverence fills the air.
This is a rare opportunity to document traditions that are both visually stunning and emotionally raw — and to do it in a way that’s respectful, intimate, and honest.
